I currently own a Fujitsu Scan Snap S1300 but have setup a few Neat Desk Scanners that you see advertised on TV. I have set these up time after time and have never been impressed with their performance. The first thing I noticed when I saw one, was how bulky the thing was. It?s definitely not something you could bring with you on a business trip. Another major issue is that they do not scan color documents. This can be a major problem if you have color coded items to scan. If the other issues weren?t deal breakers, this one definitely is: time after time, I have scanned documents in the Neat Desk and they have jumbled up receipts (making them illegible) and scanned in items sideways. I find this odd as there are guides for different paper sizes; however, the Neat Desk scanner never seems to scan items in straight. The only pro about the Neat Desk scanner is the software that is included. It is nice to import searchable data; however, it rarely works due to poor scanning. This is where my recommendation for the Fujitsu Scan Snap S1300 comes in. I have owned this for over 2 ? years and it has never failed me. It is a portable, high quality color scanner which can scan to PDF or directly to programs like dropbox or evernote. I use it to empty out two entire file cabinets of business documents. I also pair this with evernote, which makes document searching a breeze. I simply insert the document and hit the scan button and it automatically uploads the scanned document to evernote and evernote converts it to searchable text. Currently Amazon has the new Fujitsu Scan Snap S1300i on sale here. I would choose it over the Neat Desk every day of the week. Need help setting it up? Give us a call.
